Alone

This one was alone.
Alone. Crying… with loud mournful tones… we watched for a long time… and wondered to ourselves… how could it have gotten alone and away from all the others?
It was sad yet very awesome at the same time. We stood… overlooking this seal and we could see it clearly… it wasn’t far from us.
It was sad… mourning… using a cry of despair. I still wonder what happened to this lonely one.
There was a purpose I am sure. And I am also glad I am not in charge of nature… I would probably try to save them all.

A community

Part of our vacation included the rare treat of finding a real ‘seal’ colony… they were awesome.
The noise… like a dog… barking…talking to each other with loud bellowing tones. The sea sounds along with the fresh air… was a very refreshing experience as we walked along the rough and rocky trail.
We followed the noise near the edge of a fenced cliff… and we stood above them… watching and listening…and wondering
what they were calling to… or why.

Days End

Another picture of the ocean and the… setting sun…the end of the day.

God is Awesome… It was peaceful and so quiet…

A place to walk and think

Three of us walking along the sandy beach…
each in their own thoughts…
finding comfort in the awesome gift of sunshine and surf.
This was a place of peace and quiet… as we enjoyed God’s marvelous creation.

It restored our souls…

Vacation

Vacation….
It was so nice to get away from the everyday routines.
We found this beach on the Southern coast of Oregon as we looked over the edge of a hillside.
It was isolated and alone and so tempting. We had to climb down a ‘long path’ to get there and when we arrived it was awesome and we were the only four people there.
So peaceful and quiet and inviting.
I love the beach.
Especially an Oregon beach when its sunny and warm. I love the waves… the fresh air… the awesome majestic sounds of the ocean and the stillness of the moment in time.
I could sit for hours and just listen.
I walked alone gathering sea shells as they laid mixed and mingled with ocean debris… on the wet and wind tossed sand.
It was refreshing and wonderful and spiritual all at the same time.
Today may we all find a quiet peaceful place to rest and restore our tired ‘souls’.
I could go again… to this quiet place….
where would you like to go?
