I am not sure where this originally came from but it is powerful and needs to be shared.
We all have the capacity within us to rescue someone’s heart with a hug or a slight touch or a smile.
We all have the capacity to look beyond ourselves for a moment.
I love this picture because it is beautiful and because our daughter had twins.
Let us not forget to embrace those whom we love.

This is a beautiful reminder! I have a couple of "big boys" and was just thinking how I need to make sure they get the hugs they eagerly asked for when they were younger.
Such a touching story!

I love this! How very precious and such a good reminder of our need for touch and comfort.
I loved this!! Heard similar suggestions re: little ones in the past, usually twins, but sometimes just young ones that would show love and appreciation for the new one. And, I agree, too, that sometimes our hospital "rules" can make hearts break. Have a couple of my own stories that would put people into shock … one in my family, and one re: my dear friend. In both cases, when all those years ago, Drs. thought the safest thing for us was abortion [long before it was legalistic in general], we both were able to disapprove or have someone step up to help. Our sons are now nearly 45 [hers] and mine will be 40 on Thursday. Believe me, I'll be posting about it [again]. Oh, and as you and I have "talked"… he will be at day 100 of sober on his birthday. I'm one rejoicing, rowdy Mom.
Anyway, as you showed, the love makes a difference.
Bless you.
