We remember the day we said goodbye to our mom O.
Two years ago the day before mothers day
she left us to go ‘be with the Lord’.
For over two years she fought pancreatic cancer consenting to have major surgery which required a difficult recovery in her 80’s then she added into the equation chemo then a new diagnosis of diabetes.
Each step along the way she had faith that she might win the fight as she did years ago when she had breast cancer surgery.
When she finally realized the disease was progressing to the end stage she agreed to sign up for hospice.
My husband and his family watched their mother deal with the horrible disease of cancer.
It was bitter sweet.
In the beginning some moments were good when they could talk about matters of the heart.
Then other moments later were very difficult as they watched her slow down and move closer to the direction of heaven.
We knew where she was going and she even told us, ‘the angels were nearby waiting to take her home’.
We remember when we sang songs to her and said goodbye.
We miss her often.
We loved her much.
We remember her always… our mom O.

“Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.
And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7

This is so beautiful… turn your sound on and enjoy the gentleness.
Make it a prayer for your heart.
I have shared about how we can learn
to risk~ to trust~ to love and to hope.
Now we can learn to rest and be still.
Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have. ~ 1 Peter 3:15, {new century version} ~ The hope you have.
Dictionary.com says that hope means:
the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.
a particular instance of feeling as in the hope of winning.
a person or thing in which expectations are centered.
something that is hoped for.
to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence.
to have a wish.
to trust, expect, or believe. In the Psalms it talks about hope.
Psalm 16:9
So I rejoice and am glad. Even my body has hope.
Psalm 19:14
I hope my words and thoughts please you. Lord, you are my rock, the one who saves me.
Psalm 25:21
My hope is in you, so may goodness and honesty guard me.
Psalm 31:24
All you who put your hope in the Lord be strong and brave.
Psalm 33:20
So our hope is in the Lord. He is our help, our shield to protect us.
Psalm 33:22
Lord, show your love to us as we put our hope in you.
Psalm 39:7
So, Lord, what hope do I have? you are my hope.
Psalm 62:5
I find rest in God; only he gives me hope.
Psalm 71:5
Lord, you are my hope. Lord, I have trusted you since I was young.
Psalm 71:14
But I will always have hope and will praise you more and more.
Psalm 119:114
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.
Psalm 119: 147
I wake up early in the morning and cry out. I hope in your word.
As you can see hope is found over and over in the bible.
There are many more examples not shared in this writing it would be a great word study to do when time allows it.
The point is:
Following up on my last few writings.
I have been doing a lot of thinking and it feels to me
that to trust, to risk, or to love is equal to hope.
For when we hope for something it is a good feeling and it is positive, it is with great anticipation and it is also relational.
In our walk with each other we learn to trust within relationships,
we also learn to risk and to love and that can be hard to do when hurt has been a theme for us.
Then finally we learn to hope.
I think it has to be the last for some of us.
In the end what really matters is our ability to:
Always be ready to answer everyone who asks you to explain about the hope you have. ~ 1 Peter 3:15
This is a wonderful… worshipful song…and of course I love the beach sunset…sit back and enjoy the message. It is on many levels.
Marriage ~ Friendship ~ whatever you want to make of it.
The message is simple and pure.

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. ==================== Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." Courage is not the absence of fear but it's taking action in the midst of it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
