Can you even imagine for one minute being in the role of Mary and Joseph?
In the middle of a barn or shed for animals looking at the precious child both of you were chosen to take care of and be parents too for the rest of his life?
Not too different than the rest of us when we bring home a tiny infant.
Only theirs was the son…
the only SON… the precious son of God.
They had a Divine appointment to fulfill and be a part of can you even imagine the magnitude of feelings between fear and joy as they held this precious one?
Just a question for us all to think about.

Sharon-'stopping by' from Deidra's (Laura's place) today. That is a precious photo. And no, there are no words to even describe what Mary and Joseph must have been thinking about their son….
I've often pondered how it would have felt to be in Mary's position. I can only imagine…
When I saw the movie the Passion by Gibson – and how he wove Mary into the story – so wanting to save Him, loving Him so much with her mother's heart – and having to let him go through the journey of God became man that Christmas morning – really 9 months before that Christmas morning – I think it Mary watching her child suffer that grips my heart and twists it so! The older my children get – the more I think of her letting go when she wanted to save Him – and all the while He was wanting to save her! Wishing you a blessed 2013 – may it start off joyously!
I can't even imagine.
Thanks for joining The Sunday Community this week!
Blessings,
Laura
Responsibility is definitely a big part of my life… almost an addict. I expect Joseph and Mary struggled a bit over the years. Can't imagine NOT feeling that way. So their lives changed dramatically when the Lord was dropped into theirs. But our Lord loved and cared for them. That sure lifted them up to Him forever and ever.
Oh I am soooo glad that Jesus has come! He is the greatest gift that we could have ever received. This is such a wonderful post. I loved hearing about your desire to write a Golden Book. That's what Grammy's are for telling great stories so you had better get busy about your Rooster story. There is no time like the present! Best to you and Happy New Year!
