A really good friend~
The kind Jesus wants to create~
can be hard to find.
It takes commitment to a person’s best interests
to stir that person up to love and good works,
and it needs to be done gently if it’s going to work.
Be that kind of person who gently stirs up love and good works.
Then God, who is a Best Friend to you both, will be pleased.

Lord,
may our prayer today be one from a receptive heart
that we may learn as you teach us to become
a good and faithful friend to those around us.
Thank you that you have given us people in our lives
whom you have entrusted us to love and encourage towards
a more purposeful relationship.
Help us never to forget the value of a good friend.
